The tour begins at Al-Masjid an-Nabawi, the mosque built by the Islamic prophet Muhammad in Medina, Al Madinah Province.
Next, visit Masjid Ad Dar before driving to the site of the Battle of Uhud, a notable Medina landmark.
Then, visit Masjid Al Qiblatayn, where the direction of prayer was changed from Jerusalem to Mecca following a command received by Muhammad.
Proceed to the site of the Battle of the Trench, named after the defensive trench dug by Muslims during the battle.
Visit Quba Mosque on Medina’s outskirts. Originally built 6 kilometres from the city, Quba was eventually enveloped by Medina’s expansion.
Continue to the as-Salam Gate, one of the oldest gates of Masjid al-Nabawi, originally constructed by Caliph Omar around 640 CE. The gate has been relocated during mosque expansions.
While driving along Abu Bakr Al Siddiq Road, stop at the Wadi al-Aqiq walkway. This valley on Medina’s western side was called the ‘blessed valley’ by the Prophet Muhammad.
