Al Tazaj
Saudiarabia
Al Tazaj was founded by Sheikh Abdul Rahman Faqih who is the owner of one of the largest poultry farms in the kingdom. Started in 1989, the chain has grown in popularity and has a number of restaurants in Saudi Arabia as well as in Kuwait, Bahrain, Egypt and Malaysia.
The restaurant specialises in char-grilled chicken which is marinated in a secret combination of spices to give it the best flavour. Using fresh meat, the chickens are fed a diet of corn and soy beans for flavourful dining and for a healthier option. The sheikh has opened a training centre for chefs dedicated to skilled food preparation and so only employ the most skilled and excellent staff in his restaurants.
Al Tazaj serves traditional meals such as rice and kofta and rice with chicken wings. Their most popular dish is the buttery grilled chicken, which is marinated in garlic and lime sauce and served with warm pita bread, rice or corn on the cob. Other Saudi classics include chicken mandi and chicken kabsa which are also readily available. See the menu for the full choice of meals.
