The valley is mainly part of the Prince Mohammed bin Salman Natural Reserve. Its name, Al Disah, means 'valley of palm trees,' reflecting the lush palms found on the valley floor. The area is surrounded by massive sandstone cliffs and pillars that attract hikers and explorers.
Wadi Al Disah offers a peaceful environment away from crowds. Visitors can hike and observe local Saudi families enjoying picnics while having tea near the valley entrance. The valley features freshwater springs and distinct mountain formations that appeal to mountaineers.
The site also contains archaeological remains, including facades of Nabataean tombs and walls bearing Nabataean and Kufic Arabic inscriptions.
