I visited Carbone recently and had a mixed experience overall. There were definitely some positives, but also a few points that were disappointing, especially considering the level and price point of the restaurant. Pros: The food was delicious overall, and the bread was especially soft and enjoyable. The atmosphere was pleasant, and the music was not too loud, which added a nice touch to the dining experience. The staff also became more welcoming and smiley later during the visit. Cons: A few of the dishes arrived cold, which was very surprising, especially since the restaurant was not busy at the time. Service was also a bit slow. I also asked the waiter if some dishes could be amended slightly, but the request was refused. I found this surprising for a fine dining restaurant, particularly considering the amount you pay for the experience. Service and Speed: 3/5 Service was acceptable overall, but it was a bit slow, and the initial welcome could have been warmer. The fact that some dishes arrived cold also affected the experience, especially given that the restaurant was not busy. Food Quality: 4/5 The food was delicious, and the bread was very soft. However, a few dishes being served cold was disappointing and prevented the food experience from being excellent. Hospitality: 3.5/5 The hospitality improved throughout the visit, and the staff were more smiley later on. However, the lack of an initial warm welcome and the refusal to amend dishes affected this category. After sharing my feedback, the restaurant manager personally reached out with a sincere apology and kindly invited me back, offering to personally oversee the details of my next visit. I deeply appreciate this gesture, and it showed professionalism and care after the experience. Overall Rating: 3.5/5 Overall, the food was enjoyable and the atmosphere was nice, but the cold dishes, slow service, limited flexibility with requests, and initial lack of warmth made the experience feel below expectations for a fine dining restaurant. That said, I genuinely appreciate the manager’s kind gesture and would be glad to visit again.
A wonderful experience at Carbone. The food was good, and the desserts were delicious The ambiance and service were wonderful, specifically Pascal, who was incredibly cheerful, helpful, and generous. Definitely worth a visit; I truly enjoyed it.
Great food and high class. I ordered the rib eye and had some of Mario’s meaty balls. That was some majestic meat in my mouth, and I’ve had a lot of high quality meat. Highly recommend! Not busy for Friday lunch but hear dinners are packed. Make reservations!
One of best restaurants in Riyadh, the atmosphere there is so cozy and luxurious. . The staff were so friendly and knowledgeable about their menu options 👌🏻 . The service was excellent ✅ . They took the allergies seriously 👍🏻 . All the dishes were so delicious and amazing 👍🏻 . The spicy rigatoni is absolutely delicious too 👌🏻 . Overall I enjoyed my time there and I strongly recommend it 👌🏻
